Dr Denise Doyle selected as latest International Selectors Committee member for the 2024 The Lumen Prize

Denise is Reader in Digital Media at the University of Wolverhampton and we are thrilled to welcome her as our latest International Selectors Committee member for the 2024 The Lumen Prize, judging the Interactive Immersive Category 👏


With over 20 years of experience in arts and new technologies Dr Denise Doyle continues to research the impact of emerging technologies on practices across a diverse range of creative fields.


As a practitioner and a theorist her research interests focus on digital embodiment, art-science dialogues, virtual reality, phenomenology, cognitive science, and digital narratives. Having studied her PhD under Lizbeth Goodman at the SMARTlab Digital Media Institute, London, she is the Principal Editor of the Journal of Virtual Creativity published by Intellect Books, Visiting Professor of Digital Futures at Ontario College of Art and Design University, Canada, as well as Reader/Associate Professor in Digital Media at the University of Wolverhampton, UK. Her recent book Digital Embodiment and the Arts (2024) is published by Intellect.
